Established in 2021 and led by professionals who have worked in surveying and geomatics engineering since 2008 — several trained in civil engineering departments — we combine licensed professional land surveying and civil engineering with advanced geospatial technology (UAS photogrammetry, LiDAR scanning, GNSS, and GIS) to deliver accurate, agency-ready work from design phase through construction. We think of it as the best of both: a young, fast-moving firm on the newest tools — drones, LiDAR, GNSS — guided by veterans who have seen two decades of projects. All told, roughly 30 field and office professionals — surveyors, civil engineers, geomatics engineers, and mapping/production specialists, together with the specialist subconsultants we work with regularly — keep our projects moving around the clock.
About 30 field and office professionals carry a project from the first site visit through to the signed deliverable. Geoculus is led by a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California and Nevada — in the profession since 2008, an FAA Part 107 remote pilot and ASPRS UAS Technologist, with an advanced degree in civil engineering and geomatics and university-level teaching experience in land surveying. Several licensed Professional Engineers (PE) with a civil focus sit on staff, so survey work and civil engineering support are delivered under professional responsible charge within one firm — no outside referral needed to answer a grading, drainage, or plan-check question.
The bench behind them is credentialed the same way: LSIT-credentialed party chiefs leading field crews on robotic total stations and GNSS, additional FAA Part 107 certified remote pilots running UAS and 3D reality capture, and a CAD and mapping production group that builds every map, plat, and exhibit to the reviewing agency’s own checklist. They are geomatics engineers with civil engineering roots, which is why our deliverables integrate cleanly into engineering design and construction workflows. One coordinator owns scheduling and communication throughout, so you always know where your project stands.

Because survey and mapping requirements differ city by city, we maintain an internal library of each jurisdiction’s submittal requirements, plan-check practices and recording procedures — so your project meets local rules the first time.
We serve residential, commercial, and industrial developers, public agencies, and mission-critical facilities. Recent public and high-security agency work includes aerial and topographic mapping for the City of Adelanto, the ADA ramp reconstruction program for the City of Montebello, high-security facility and topographic surveys with bridge foundation staking for the U.S. Navy (Naval Bases Point Mugu and Point Loma), and facility surveys at SpaceX and NASA JPL. We are uniquely qualified to operate in high-security environments. Since 2025 we have also supported dozens of families and architects rebuilding after the Eaton and Palisades fires in Altadena and Pacific Palisades, and we serve as the survey subconsultant to prime engineering firms on municipal capital improvement projects.
